New To FBC?

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Altus Oklahoma!

We are a group of believers whose purpose is simply to love the Lord and glorify Him. We want you to feel at home and to be a part of our family. FBC is a place where loving and caring friends will help you grow in God’s grace. We are excited about where God is taking us, and we want you to be a part of it. Here is what you can expect when you arrive at our location: 300 N. Main, Altus, Oklahoma.

Our first service begins at 8:30am followed by an enriching Bible study in our Sunday School Classes for all ages and our late service follows at 10:50am. Our Senior Pastor, Dr. Jeff Moore presents a God inspired message of biblical truths and challenges us to apply them to our daily lives. Brother Jeff also has a time when he invites the children to the altar for “The Mystery Box” for a fun time as he tells a brief ‘kids’ message derived from an object brought by one of the children.

Our blended worship style covers a broad range of music from traditional hymns and southern gospel to contemporary praise and worship songs. Our Minister of Music leads worship along with our choir, praise team, instrumentalists, and praise band.

Sunday evening services begin at 6:00pm, and we would love for you to join us!

If you are unable to join us on the FBC campus, all of our worship services are broadcast live in Altus on Channel 72 and on KWHW 93.5FM and 1450AM.

Finding a Sunday School Class

To find the appropriate Sunday School class for you and/or your children, you will need to stop by the Office and/or Preschool Childrens Office. Someone would be glad to help you figure out the best class for your age and will guide you to the right location.

Finding the Worship Center

The easiest way to locate the Worship Center is to enter the building through the sliding glass doors from the East parking lot. Then proceed to the end of the hall, turning left then continue down that hall passing the office on your left, and you will see the Worship Center entrance at the top of the stairs.

Finding the Hispanic Mission

The Hispanic Mission meets in the Activity Building located in the East parking lot.

How Do I Join?

We invite you to become a FBC member in one of the following ways:

Commit your life to Jesus Christ.
This means that you have accepted or want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Join our church by baptism.
If you are coming as a new Christian or if you are coming from a church of another denomination whose view of baptism is different from the New Testament baptism as practiced by Southern Baptists.
Transfer membership from another Southern Baptist church.
Join our church from another denomination.
If you have previously received Jesus Christ and were baptized by immersion as an act of obedience into a church whose view of baptism is that of Southern Baptists.
Join by Statement of Faith.

Take action:

Talk to our Pastor or other staff member at the end of worship service.
