Our Mission Statement

First Baptist Church of Altus, Oklahoma seeks to be a Great Commission church by following the Great Commandment. We believe it is our responsibility to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) We also believe we must love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength as well as love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31)

Our Doctrines

We give cooperatively to the Southern Baptist Convention. Our church aligns with the doctrines outlined in The Baptist Faith and Message.
