What is the Pray For Me Campaign?
We are launching the “Pray for Me Campaign” and we need you to join the movement. The campaign is to build community in the body of Christ through intergenerational relationships.
Each student will be assigned 3 Prayer Champions who will be praying for that student for an entire school year. We hope to have a Prayer Champion from 3 generations (20-40; 41-60; 61-over) to be praying for each student.
Each Prayer Champion will be given a prayer guide that will equip them to pray for what really matters through the 7 Essentials: Favor;Wisdom; Love;Faith; Purity;Speech; and Conduct, from Luke 2:52 and I Timothy 4:12.
We are anticipating over 50 students to sign up so we need at least 150 adults to become Prayer Champions. We need you to sign up by August 18th so that a student can be assigned to you.
On Sunday, August 25that 6:00 p.m. we will have a launch party in which you will meet your student and the other Prayer Champions who will be praying with you.
What is a Prayer Champion?
A Prayer Champion is an adult who commits to pray for a student for one school year and will be required to attend the Pray For Me Campaign event on August 25th to meet the student they will be partnered with for the year. To become a Prayer Champion, contact the church office at 580.482.0230.
What is the Prayer Guide?
The Prayer Guide is one of the most important parts of the Pray for Me Campaign. It's easy to make a commitment to pray for someone for a year, but it's not always easy to actually carry it out. The Prayer Guide provides the momentum and staying power for the Campaign by making it easy and natural for Prayer Champions to pray things for their student that are vital to their flourishing in faith and life. A Prayer Champion who is praying every day will cycle through the prayers in the Prayer Guide three times in a school year.
If you sign-up to become a prayer champion, you will get a FREE prayer guide at our event on August 25th.
