Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church Altus will provide opportunities for women to grow in Christ, serve others, and love many.

Guiding Scripture:
"Older women likwise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine.  They are to teach what is good and so-train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind and submissive to their own husbands, that the work of God may not be reviled."  Titus 2:3-5 ESV

A. Offer Bible studies for women on varying days, time, and subjects as God leads.
B. Communicate timely information regarding ministry, service, and growth opportunities for women.
C. Participate in women's retreats and events ( e.g. BGCO April Retreat, Women of Faith, etcc.)
D. Promote and foster a women's mentoring program.
E. Implement ministries and programs to love and serve.
F. Provide a Christmas Celebration to prioritize the reason for the season in early December.

Come join Annie Downs, Jen Wilkin, Lina Abujamra, Michael Jr., & and the MET Collective at the BGCO Women's Retreat at Falls Creek Conference Center.

The cost is $75 and includes registration, lodging, three meals and programming. A special fee of $35 is available for young women ages 13-18, but they must have a guardian with them. After March 23, the cost is $85 for everyone. The final day for registration is April 3. Register Here!
