Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a Great Blessing!

Listed below are only a few areas where volunteers are needed. Volunteers also needed as greeters; ushers; security;handing out bulletins;Sunday morning and evening office personnel … etc.  Don’t miss the blessing of volunteering. Extended Session Teachers

Extended Session volunteers help care for the preschoolers, ages 0-3, during the late worship service. These volunteers rotate on a quarterly basis, so the most Sundays any volunteer works in a year is four. The more people that help in this area, the less often each person is needed. We ask all parents of preschoolers to volunteer in this area, and we welcome anyone else who loves children to jump in on the rotation.

Prayer Warriors

Our prayer room is staffed around the clock with volunteers who come to pray for an hour each week. There is always room to add more intercessors to the weekly rotation or just to be substitutes when the regularly scheduled intercessors cannot make it.

Front Line Ministry

Making a good first impression is important at First Baptist. We cannot do this without committed volunteers to be greeters and ushers. We need people willing to be on hand each Sunday to welcome newcomers at the door, to take visitors to the appropriate Sunday School class, and to help people find seats in the auditorium. We also need more men who are willing to pass out visitor’s cards during the service and to be ready to help any church attendee with any need that arises during the service.

Musicians

Both the FBC Adult Choir and Praise Band are always on the lookout for new musicians to add to the ranks. The adult choir meets on Wednesdays at 6:00pm and on Sundays at 5:30pm in the choir room. The praise band only meets when needed for special performances. The adult choir and praise band perform in the late morning service and the evening service each Sunday.
