Music Ministry

First Baptist Church has an exciting, upbeat, blended music program. Each worship service is filled with praise and worship, from the great old hymns to the contemporary choruses. The adult choir, praise team and instrumentalists lead the worship in the 10:50am and 6:00pm services on Sunday.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings 6:00-7:00pm and Sunday evenings 5:30-6:00pm. Special rehearsals are called as needed when preparing for a seasonal music program.

Praise Team and Band

The Praise Team is a rotating group in which different choir members sing each week. However, the Praise Band is a constant group of instrumentalists who commit their time every week to accompanying each worship service. Both the Priase Team and Praise Band meet each Sunday at 9:30am and at other rehearsals during the week as needed.

Graded Choirs

First Baptist encourages children to get involved in the music program at an early age. We have choirs for 4- and 5-year-olds, 1st-3rd graders, and 4th-6th graders. These choirs rehearse from 7:00-8:00pm each Wednesday. All children these ages are welcome to attend.

Interested in Joining?

Becoming a part of the music ministry is simple—just show up for rehearsal! FBC choirs are a tremendous training ground for new singers. Many who join a choir eventually become fine soloists, praise team singers, or members of other singing groups. We always welcome new voices or instruments. Come on and join us!
