Mother's Day Out

Mother's Day Out
...an outreach ministry to families here in the Altus community.

First Baptist Church of Altus Mother's Day Out is a weekday program with the primary objectives of providing parents with Christ-centered child-care for their babies - preschool-aged children. Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Goals
Our goal in Mother’s Day Out is to offer opportunities for each child to grow and learn by providing a balance of age-appropriate preschool activities, biblical concepts and play that will enhance social skills, creativity, and learning.

This Year’s Theme
We are One in JESUS! The children our learning this year that Jesus loves them along with all the children of the world, as they learn about different people groups and cultures.

Facilities
Our classrooms are designed to meet the needs of the growing, exploring preschooler. Childcare workers develop learning activities that promote physical, social, emotional and spiritual development. Each classroom is designed with learning centers such as: “Art”, “Blocks”, “Books”, “Home-Living”, “Music”, “Nature”, “Puzzles”, and “Group-Time”.

Staff
Teachers are the key to the success of First Baptist. Teachers strive to give the very best of themselves to the children on a daily basis. The concepts taught are the building blocks of the preschooler's entire life. Children are what they see, experience and feel. In order to provide loving care, individual attention and instruction, each class has two teachers in the room at all times. Every teacher is CPR certified.

Curriculum
Each class follows an age-appropriate WEE Learn curriculum. We believe that very young children can learn the principles of the gospel when taught at their level. Monthly themes and enrichment activities are also included. Our daily program includes: Age appropriate preschool activities, Bible stories and related crafts, playtime (in and outside), music and movement, rotation centers, lunch and rest time.

Summer Program - Currently we do not have a summer program.
