Military Ministries

Welcome!

We want you to know that we would love to have you come and be a  part of our church at First Baptist.  Our church has a strong history of connection to Altus Air Force Base.  We have several in our congregation who are serving and several who are retired from the military.  We believe you would fit right in and feel welcomed at First Baptist.

We have a Sunday class that meets at 9:30 am each week specifically for military personnel.  It provides a great opportunity to connect with others, make new friends, and strength existing relationships.  Everyone is welcome.

There are many other Bible study groups that meet at various times throughout the week.  You can browse our webpage to discover more information or you can call the church at (580) 482-0230.  We have Sunday school classes for all ages, activities and special events for children and students from Pre-K to 12th grade throughout the year.

If we can serve you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us.  We thank you for your service to our nation and would consider it a privilege to be allowed to serve you through the ministries of our church.

In Christ,
Dr. Jeff Moore
Senior Pastor

Girls in Action (GA’s)

What Is Girls in Action (GA’s)?

GA is a comprehensive mission’s education program, for girls in grades 1-6, which includes praying for missions, engaging in mission’s action and witness, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, participating in the work of the church and denomination, and supporting missions.

Through participation in GA, girls grow in their knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible. They also learn from the example of missionaries, believers, and hands-on mission action what it means to actively engage in ministering to others with the compassion of Christ.

GA Motto: "Go Forward!"

GA Pledge

"As a GA, I will do my best to live a mission’s lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions and participating in the work of the church."

GA Scripture Verse

"Give thanks to the Lord. Worship him. Tell the nations what he has done. Announce how honored he is" (Isaiah 12:4 NIrV).

GA Lifestyle Verse

"The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must treat people fairly. You must love others faithfully. And you must be very careful to live the way your God wants you to" (Micah 6:8 NIrV).
